Jessica Arsenault Awarded the Frank Loughran Award (submitted by David Dwyer)

I wanted to announce the 2007 winner of the prestigious Frank Loughran Award
- Jessica Arsenault from the Auburn, Maine team. Jessica was presented the award at a company Management Training Series day on November 14, 2007. There were several great nominations this year for this award. Jessica stood out for her commitment and results with natural supports and fostering independents with the individuals for whom we work.

Mike Murtha read aloud her nomination, which highlighted 7 different individuals who are working now because of her great work. These 7 individuals are just a small fraction of the many individuals Jessica works with throughout the year. She has assisted SEP, VR, Welfare and Students, all find their career path to independence. Jessica's professional dedication to the individuals she serves is not only changing individual lives but also changing other's perceptions.

One example is Jessica receiving a referral and the funding source stating that she did not believe anyone would be successful with this client. Jessica set that opinion aside and went to work. She got to know the person as an individual and discovered what she was truly interested in doing for work. Jessica and the individual client made it happen. The referral source was shocked by the success and came to see her own biases and labeling.

Changing the world of work, one person at a time, is why Jessica embodies our company philosophies and practices. This is also why she is the perfect person to win the 2007 Frank Loughran Award. Congratulations Jessica.

I have attached her nomination so you may read it in its entirety.
