Staffing needs are handled by our in-house recruiting
team. Below you will find a list of the various positions in
Work Opportunities and a description of their responsibilities. Work
Opportunities Unlimited offers competitive salaries and benefits
packages. Career Resource Specialists (CRS)
Career Resource Specialists act as a career consultant to both the
Individuals we serve and the business community. A CRS works with
the Individual to determine his or her job goals, prepare for a job
search, secure a job, and provide appropriate support on-the-job
after the Individual is hired. The CRS works with employers to
determine their hiring needs, facilitates communication between the
Individual and the employer after the Individual has been hired,
develops and uses a “retention plan” to help the Individual be
successful in meeting his/her job expectations, and works with the
employer to develop natural supports in the workplace.
The specific responsibilities of a CRS will vary, depending upon the
services offered in the market and the needs of the Individuals on
the CRS’s caseload. While there is no typical day, a CRS’s daily
activities might include travel to the job sites of Individuals on
the CRS’s caseload, working with the Individuals to help them meet
job expectations, meeting with employers to learn more about their
hiring needs, helping an Individual prepare for an interview,
organizing career exploration activities, and writing daily notes to
document activities.
This CRS position generally requires travel in a personal vehicle to
multiple sites throughout the day. While each Individual is
encouraged to develop independent transportation, the CRS may be
required to transport Individuals to their jobs or to meetings in
the community.
The educational and experience requirements for this position vary
by state and population served. Some positions require a Bachelor’s
Degree in the field of Health and Human Services, a business-related
degree, and/or up to four years of experience in the human services
field. In many areas, written and oral proficiency in Spanish is
preferred.

services. In some markets, the Director is also responsible for
providing direct service to clients.
A Director is expected to spend a minimum of 50% of his/her time in
the field working to coach, mentor, train, and evaluate the CRS
team, including modeling business development activities. A Director

team, maintaining relationships with and securing referrals from
referral sources, and ensuring that quality and compliance standards
are maintained.

business is required. Experience managing a team in an outcome-based
environment is preferred. |
