5/31/07 - Auburn Career Resource Specialist Reaches Career Placement Milestone

On 31 May 07 at WOU’s Auburn Office, Roger LaChapelle received a Career Placement Milestone Award from Steve Wood. Roger is the first Career Services Division CRS to receive this award, which highlights the importance of making quality job placements, as this is one of our most important core competencies. At the ceremony, I had the honor and pleasure of reading the following citation:

Roger LaChapelle is a very professional and talented Career Resource Specialist, who embraces our company core values, and exemplifies our mission every single day. Roger firmly believes and communicates that all people can work through his actions. He has acted on this belief by taking individuals with significant barriers to employment, encouraging them, teaching them skills, fostering their independence, and communicating their abilities to employers. Roger has built a solid foundation of reciprocal relationships and has established a substantial list of community partners who now look to us for their hiring needs. The Auburn Director continuously receives favorable comments from employers, referral sources and the individuals he serves regarding the quality of services they receive from him. As a capstone to his continuous outstanding performance and outcome achievements, Roger placed an Aspire-referred individual into a career position at Bates College on 7 May 2007. This successful outcome represented Roger’s 100th career placement in just over two years with Work Opportunities Unlimited -- a very laudable milestone to celebrate. Thank you Roger for everything you do for the individuals we serve, you truly have shown all of us how to live each of our company core values, and have set the bar very high for other Business Developers to strive towards.

Congratulations on your 100th career placement, Work Opportunities Unlimited is very proud to have you as a member of our Career Services Team.
