Youth Career Services...
Who Is On Our Team?

Each youth we serve has the support of a team of professionals. Most direct contact will be with the team of Career Resource Specialists (CRS), one of whom will be the youth’s primary contact. This CRS team is supported by a Program Director, Program Vice President, and Vice President of Program Development.

Career Resource Specialist

The Career Resource Specialist (CRS) is the key contact person working directly with the youth. They work with the youth to assess their skills, to prepare them for work (and careers), and to propose jobs that match the youth’s qualifications and needs. They often also provide on-going technical assistance to co-workers at employment sites. New youth are encouraged to select the CRS of their choice; the CRS, the youth, and family or guardian then set goals and ways to meet them. As the youth is preparing to take on a job, the CRS lays groundwork at the work site, training both the employer and future employee, consulting, and building relationships with the company

Our Career Resource Specialists also help identify employment opportunities for Work Opportunities Unlimited consumers, then work with key players at the business to help meet the specific needs of those in supported employment positions. They train supervisors and co-workers, and carry out long-term quality control checks with employers.

Program Director

Each Work Opportunities Unlimited region is managed by a Director, who is responsible for the overall success of programs operating in their region. The Directors’ chief concerns are consumer satisfaction and quality control.

Program Vice President

The program Vice President is responsible for ensuring the quality of our programs and the satisfaction of our customers. They assume responsibility for the performance of each Director and ultimately the performance of each regional team.

Vice President of Program Development

The Vice President of Program Development introduces families, school officials, and state agencies to Work Opportunities Unlimited’s services and teams in their areas, then works with them to customize vocational programs.
